At certain points during the dig, reference positions, including which way is north, how deep is the unit, are measured.	Bob (?) draws the area of interest -- in this case, the trench that surrounded the fort -- on graph paper.	Moe (?) records the level of the unit she is working on.

Jessica (?) labels the bags where the artifacts are kept from each unit and each level.	Dan (?) shows Dingo how to determine the soil color based on a chart.	At the end of the day, the units must be protected by covering them up.

	Fortunately, there is a bit of time for people to catch their wind as Bernie Huber and John Mitchell are doing.
