Seneca Stone Cutting Mill

When we got to the park, we found that the drought had severely downgraded the river flow.  So, the dam was just about dry.  Even the vultures were taking a rest on the dam waiting for something to happen Of course, even with the drought, the park is spectacular!!  We were there just before the leaves really turned, but you can see a bit of color.  You can also see one of the waterfalls in the background. Here is one of the waterfalls.
Another fall, called the upper falls with the wonderful railroad bridge above it.  Our guide said that the bridge was originally wooden (steel now) and that it was a tourist attraction for some time. Yes, I like water falls no matter how big or small.  This one is just off of and feeds into the upper falls (photo on left). The power of water always amazes me.  Just below the high falls, is where the river water has carved the stone.
