Passport photo with Sam Jr. on the left and Sam Lindsey Sr. on the right. This passport was issued like this because Sam Jr. was not considered an adult at this time. This passport was issued for the two of them to go to South America and market the Lindsey 8 Wheel Log Wagon.

At the beginning of World War II, the two of them went to the Lindsey Wagon Company office in Belize, Honduras to see about a complaint -- the wheels of the 8 wheeled log wagon were not holding up. When they got there, they immediately spotted the problem; the workers would place one huge mahogany log on the wagon; stick poles in the spokes of the wheel; and then let the wagon slide down the mountain side.  This burned up the four back wheels.

Incidentally, it was very important to log for mahogany during World War II because the P. T. boats were made from it.
