[Obituary from the Laurel Leader-Call]

Educated at Mississippi State College for Women, she studied further at the Cincinnati Conservatory -of Music, and while her love and appreciation of music was not generally known, those intimate to her were fully aware of her ability as a pianist.

Dr. and Mrs. Waldrup were married in December, 1897, and moved to Laurel in January, 1900, where she has made unnumbered friends. A member of the Presbyterian church, her interest lay in its work, but confined by bad health for many years, her life has been restricted with regard to outside activities. All the love that she could lavish on her children and those of neighbors who have grown up to love and admire her, she freely gave, making their lives complete and full of understanding for her ideals.

Besides her own two sons, Mrs. Waldrup took into her home the daughter of her sister, Mrs. T. M. Puller, and gave her all the love and care that she would have given to a child of her own. This niece is Mrs. Dennis Granberry.

Members of the family surviving are her husband, Dr. M. W. Waldrup; her two sons and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Waldrup and Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Waldrup; and one grandson, Lindsey, Jr.; one brother, Dr. S. W. Lindsey; one sister, Mrs. A. T. J. Wallace; and her niece, Mrs. D. P. Granberry.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending the arrival of Dr. Waldrup and others from Gadsden. Services will probably be held Friday afternoon from the home, the Rev. Grayson L. Tucker officiating.
