Material

All the wood parts are made from a selection of the best air-dried lumber that can be secured.  White oak is used in all parts, except the axles, which are made of the best grade of hickory.  All metal parts are made of machinery steel, especially rolled for our work.

Wheels

The results of numerous experiments and careful observation have shown that wheels 32" in diameter give much better satisfaction for our form of wagon than any other size.  We have, therefore, adopted this size as our standard, and now use only 32" wheels on all sizes of our wagons.  Hubs are equipped with caps and washers which reduce leakage of grease.

Skein Drawing

Skeins

The skeins are made of malleable iron, 3 3/4" X 10" long sleeve, from our specially designed pattern, which produces a superior skein to any other manufactured.

Weights

The weights of our wagons range from 2800 lbs. to 3200 lbs., varying according to the width of the tire.
