Muddy Branch Creek

Around the Capitol

Kentlands

Autumn Near the Kentlands 2002

It finally rained.  After 2 years of drought, Muddy Branch finally got about an inch of rain. While this was not enough to flood the creek; it was enough to change the flow considerably.  Here are some photographs of some of the changes.

The Creek winds with a bit more velocity when it has some rain to help it. Bordered by rocks, the Creek is funneled into a small rapid.

With the flow smoothed out, the Creek washes against the far bank looking like a strange street pavement.
