Many of the graves are surrounded by brick walls about waist high.  Some of the walls are quite elaborate. The green on top of the wall is resurrection fern with some lichen growing beside it. And, some of the walls are crumbling.
Apparently a mass grave from the Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1801.  This epidemic was not confined to Saint Marys or even to the United States. This headstone denotes the members of a family who are buried here. The two graves in front of the main memorial identify who is in the graves by their initials which can be traced back to the main headstone.
