I wondered about the old tramway track and what happened to it. I guess that it was claimed when they had the big metal drives during World War II.  Of course, it has been quite some time since maintenance was done on this section of the canal;  and the stone wall around the turning basin is crumbling so much that it is hard to determine where it is in places and in other places it doesn't exist at all.
