The Western Maryland Railroad serviced Frederick, Maryland with a branch that dropped South from the main line. [I have been corrected by Bob who said "This is the former Pennsylvania Railroad's "Frederick Secondary", which ran from Hanover, PA to Frederick, MD."] While a good deal of this branch has been abandoned, part of it still operates as the Maryland Midland Railroad.
